Choosing an ultrasonic heat meter
Consider pipe size, flow range, installation and communication together.
Measurement principle
Ultrasonic heat meters use acoustic signals to measure flow. Compatibility with the installation matters just as much as the measuring principle; a larger connection does not automatically mean a better choice.
Information needed for selection
Check the design flow, connection size, installation length, operating temperatures, pressure loss and communication option together. Review the selected device’s conformity documentation.
Commissioning
Confirm the flow direction and sensor positions against the manufacturer’s instructions. Record the initial reading and serial number before completing a replacement.
