What a battery warning means

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions when a battery symbol or error code appears. Remaining operating time and data retention behaviour are not the same for every model.

Before any intervention

Photograph the make, model, serial number, display reading and warning. Notify management; do not open the meter or interfere with its seals.

Servicing or replacement

Assess whether battery replacement is technically possible alongside service authorisation and inspection requirements. After the work, check the device record and continuity of readings.

Information on Tiered Natural Gas Pricing and Heat Cost Allocation

Following BOTAŞ’s announcement dated 3 April 2026, within the framework of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) and BOTAŞ regulations, tiered pricing for residential consumers took effect on 4 April 2026.

Under this scheme, the government subsidy varies by consumption tier, increasing the price paid per cubic metre. Depending on the region and consumption level, the difference in unit costs between Tier 1 and Tier 2 ranges from 60% to 80%.

Although total natural gas bills issued to buildings have increased, no changes have been made to the Regulation on the Allocation of Heating and Domestic Hot Water Costs in Central Heating and Hot Water Systems. Accordingly, costs continue to be calculated and allocated using individual unit meter readings and the building’s current natural gas invoice amount.
