Maintaining records during meter replacement
Keep the old final reading and the new initial reading.
Before replacement
Check the fault, device compatibility, measuring range, communication and installation dimensions. Record the final reading and serial number with a photograph.
Replacement record
Record the old and new serial numbers, replacement date and closing and opening readings together. Document isolation of the pipework and the recommissioning check.
Check the first period
Confirm that the new meter is assigned to the correct unit and connected to the reading system. Ensure the first statement does not count overlapping periods for the two devices.
